Because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying Abba, Father! You are no longer a slave but a child. The Spirit in you cries Papa. That is intimacy, not religion.
In the New Covenant you have moved from slave to child. No longer serving from fear but relating from love. The Spirit himself testifies that you belong.
Today you can address God as Father, not as a distant ruler.
Truth & Application
Truth: The Spirit of the Son in you cries Abba, Papa. You are not a slave but a child. Your relationship with God is not service from fear but relationship from love. The Spirit testifies your belonging.
Today practically: Address God today consciously as Papa. Allow the closeness. The Spirit in you wants exactly that.
Question for you: Where are you still behaving like a slave instead of a child?
Prayer
Abba, Father, thank you that your Spirit in me cries Abba. I am not a slave, I am a child. Today I live from this relationship. I release servitude and religious distance. Holy Spirit, testify my sonship. Amen.
