Thoughts within the New Covenant
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God. The most well-known verse about grace, and yet so easily forgotten in daily life. Salvation is a gift. Not wages, not merit.
Paul excludes all boasting. No one can say: I earned it. And that is not a humility exercise, it is freedom. If you cannot earn it, you also cannot lose it through failure. Grace holds what performance never could.
Today you can receive this gift, not earn it.
Truth & Application
Truth: Salvation is pure gift from God. No works, no effort, no merit. If you cannot earn it, you also cannot lose it through failure. That is the security of grace.
Today practically: When performance pressure comes today, remember: Grace is a gift. I receive, I do not earn.

Prayer
Father, thank you for the gift of salvation by grace. Thank you that it does not depend on me. Today I receive anew what you give. I release the urge to earn it. Holy Spirit, keep me in the certainty of grace. Amen.
