Thoughts within the New Covenant
We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him. Paul does not speak of blind optimism here. He speaks of a deep conviction: God works in everything, even in the hard things.
That does not mean everything is good. It means God works in everything. Even in what you do not understand. Even in what hurts. He wastes nothing. In the New Covenant you are not at the mercy of chance.
Today you can trust that God uses even what you cannot make sense of.
Truth & Application
Truth: God works in all things, even in what you do not understand. That is not cheap comfort but deep trust. You are not at the mercy of chance. God wastes nothing in your life.
Today practically: If something difficult happens today, say: God works in this too. I do not need to understand to trust him.
Question for you: What in your life do you need to place in Gods hands today, even though you do not understand it?
Prayer
Father, thank you for working in all things. Even in what I do not understand. Today I trust you with the hard things. I release the need to control and understand. Holy Spirit, thank you for the peace in not understanding that is already mine. Amen.
