Jesus Christ the same yesterday and today and forever. In a world that constantly changes, there is one constant: Jesus. He does not change. His character, his promises, his love, all remain.
Rest is based on consistency. And Jesus is the most consistent reality there is.
Today: Jesus is the same today as yesterday. And tomorrow too. You can rely on that.
Truth & Application
Truth: Jesus Christ does not change. Yesterday, today, forever the same. His promises stand, his love remains, his character is constant. This is the foundation of your rest.
Practical today: When change unsettles you, remember: Jesus is the same. Yesterday, today, forever. That is my anchor.
Question for you: Where does change unsettle you even though Jesus remains constant?
Prayer
Father, thank you that Jesus does not change. Yesterday, today, forever the same. Today I anchor in this constancy. I release unsettlement through change. Holy Spirit, remind me of the constant: Jesus. Amen.
