We are God's children now; what we will be has not yet appeared. John confirms: NOW you are a child. Not someday. Now. And at the same time there is more to come.
Rest arises when you know: I am already a child now. I do not have to become something first. And the best is yet to come.
Today: you ARE God's child. Now. Trust the process for what is still coming.
Truth & Application
Truth: You are God's child now. Not in the future. Now. And what you will be surpasses anything you can imagine. Your current standing is real, your future standing is even greater.
Practical today: Live today as a child of God. Not as a candidate. Not as someone who still needs to become it. You are it.
Question for you: Where are you living as a candidate when you are already a child?
Prayer
Father, thank you that I am your child now. Not later. Now. And the best is yet to come. Today I live from this standing. I release candidate thinking. Holy Spirit, show me today what it means to be a child now. Amen.
