It is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. You do not produce the will. God works it in you. And not only the will but also the accomplishment.
Peace arises when you realize: even my wanting comes from God. I do not have to will or achieve from my own strength. He works both.
Today: God works in you. The willing and the doing. Both from him. Rest in that.
Truth & Application
Truth: God works in you both the willing and the doing. You do not have to produce motivation or results from your own strength. Both come from him, according to his good pleasure.
Practical today: When motivation is lacking, do not ask for more willpower but trust that God also works the willing. Let him lead.
Question for you: Where are you fighting for motivation that God wants to work in you?
Prayer
Father, thank you for working in me both the willing and the doing. I do not have to produce it myself. Today I trust that you give both. I release the motivation struggle and performance pressure. Holy Spirit, work in me today. Amen.
