Thoughts within the New Covenant
The law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. Paul describes two laws, two systems. The old system: sin and death. The new system: Spirit and life. You are in the new system.
Clarity means: you no longer live under the old law. A new law applies: that of the Spirit. It makes alive, not dead.
Today: you are free from the old system. Think and live in the new one.
Truth & Application
Truth: A new law rules over you: the law of the Spirit of life. It has set you free from the law of sin and death. You live in the new system.
Practical today: When the old system reports in, remember: I am set free. A new law applies. Then think and act from the new system.
Question for you: Where are you still living in the old system even though the new one has long been in effect?
Prayer
Father, thank you for the law of the Spirit of life. It has set me free. Today I live in the new system. I release the old law of sin and death. Holy Spirit, keep me in the law of life. Amen.
