Thoughts within the New Covenant
Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. Paul says this in the context of the New Covenant compared to the Old. The letter kills, the Spirit gives life. And where the Spirit is, there is freedom.
Freedom is not a goal you must aim for. It is the atmosphere you live in because Gods Spirit dwells in you. Not freedom for anything goes, but freedom from fear, legalism, and inner bondage.
Today you can breathe in this freedom and act from it.
Truth & Application
Truth: Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom, and the Spirit dwells in you. Freedom is not somewhere out there. It is in you. You live in the atmosphere of freedom because Gods Spirit is your home.
Today practically: Ask yourself today: Where do I feel unfree? Then remember: The Spirit of freedom lives in me.
Question for you: Which inner bondage may give way to the freedom of the Spirit today?
Prayer
Father, thank you that your Spirit brings freedom. Thank you that this freedom lives in me. Today I open myself to what your Spirit wants to do. I release inner tightness and religious chains. Holy Spirit, make me free today, from the inside out. Amen.
