Prayer in Illness/Pain (Rom 8:26)

Original Prayer

Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness.

For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.

And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.

Context (Old Covenant)

Word of Paul (Rom 8:26), New Covenant: in pain and weakness the Spirit himself prays in us.

Prayer in the New Covenant

Holy Spirit, thank you for helping me even when I have no words. Carry my heart before the Father. I receive healing through Jesus' finished work at the cross. In Jesus' name I speak health and life into my body. I stand in Christ's authority. Amen.
