Prayer of Gratitude (Eph 1:3)
Original Prayer
Context (Old Covenant)
Word of Paul (Eph 1:3), central New Covenant statement: in Christ everything is already given. Foundation of true gratitude.
What it teaches
Praise; focus on spiritual blessings.
Realization in the New Covenant
Ephesians 1:3 is one of the strongest New Covenant statements: You are ALREADY blessed with EVERY spiritual blessing.
- ›Not "please bless me", but: "Thank you, I AM blessed"
- ›In Christ: Chosen, accepted, redeemed, sealed (Eph 1:4-14)
- ›Gratitude in the New Covenant is not politeness, it is an expression of faith. You declare what God has done.
- ›From lack to fullness. From request to thanks. That is the New Covenant shift.
Prayer in the New Covenant
Praised be you, Father: You have blessed me in Christ with every spiritual blessing. I receive your grace today, know my identity, and live in joy. Thank you that everything is already there. Amen.
