Chosen and Loved
Verse
Therefore, as Gods chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
Thought
Clothe yourselves as Gods chosen people, holy and dearly loved. Paul does not say: First become holy. He says: You ARE chosen, holy, and loved, now clothe yourself accordingly. Live from it.
Identity in the New Covenant is not a reward for good behavior. It is the starting point. Compassion, kindness, humility, these are fruits that grow from your new nature.
Today you can put on what you already are.
Truth & Application
Truth: You are chosen, holy, and dearly loved. That is your current status, not future music. Compassion, kindness, and gentleness are fruits of your identity, not conditions you must fulfill.
Today practically: Consciously choose one fruit today: compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, or patience. Live it because it grows from within you.
Question for you: What would change if you treated yourself today as chosen, holy, and loved?
Prayer
Father, thank you that I am chosen, holy, and loved. Not through my deeds but through you. Today I put on what you have given me. I release self-doubt and old identity thinking. Holy Spirit, let compassion and kindness flow through me. Amen.
