God works in you
Verse
For it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.
Thought
God works in you both to will and to work. Not just the doing, even the wanting comes from God. He works IN you.
This is the ultimate invitation to rest: God works. You may trust.
Truth & Application
Truth: God works in you the willing and the doing. Rest is the consequence.
Today practically: God works in me. I do not need to force the wanting.
Question for you: Where do you try to produce the wanting yourself?
Prayer
Father, you work in me, the willing and the doing. Today I trust your working. I release the pressure of producing everything myself. Holy Spirit, work in me according to your good pleasure. Amen.
