Ephesians 1:7

Love instead of fear

Verse

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace.

Thought

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace. Paul is not speaking of a meager, measured forgiveness. He speaks of the riches of grace. Abundance, not minimum.

Redemption means: You are bought free. Not on probation. Not under conditions. Free. And the forgiveness is not your merit but the result of his blood. You cannot improve it, and you cannot lose it.

Where fear rules, love is displaced. But where you see the riches of grace, fear gives way, because you realize how deeply you are held.

Truth & Application

Truth: Your redemption is according to the riches of his grace, not according to the measure of your performance. Forgiveness stands because the blood of Christ is sufficient. You are free, complete, held.

Today practically: Where is fear driving you today? Pause and remember: You are redeemed, according to the riches of his grace. Then act from love, not fear.

Question for you: What would change if you lived today from the riches of grace instead of scarcity?

Prayer

Father, thank you for the riches of your grace. Thank you that redemption is not scarce but abundant. Today I receive courage that grows from love. I release fear and withdrawal. Holy Spirit, remind me today of the fullness I have in Christ. Amen.
