Walking in Christ
Verse
Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him.
Thought
Just as you received Christ, by faith, so walk in him. Not through new rules, not through greater effort, but in the same faith. You didn't begin by performance, so you don't continue by performance.
Truth & Application
Truth: Your walk with Christ operates on the same principle as your beginning: faith. You didn't start by performance, so you don't continue by performance.
Today practically: Check: Are you trying through effort to maintain what you received by faith? Return to faith.
Question for you: Are you living by faith or by your own effort?
Prayer
Father, thank you that I live in Christ, by faith. Today I continue in faith. I let go of self-effort. Holy Spirit, keep me from switching back to striving. Amen.
