Mike's deliberate repetition with slight variation. Track 5 was "The Light Remains". Track 8 is "The Light Stays". Both mean similar things, but Mike hammers the point twice because it is important.
"Remain" and "stay" are close relatives but not synonyms. "Remain" has an official, perhaps legal tone. "Stay" is more personal, more intimate, like asking someone to stay.
Luke 24:29, the Emmaus disciples to Yeshua: "Stay with us, for it is nearly evening; the day is almost over." In the Greek original: meînon meth' hēmōn. Yeshua stayed.
Mike's track is assurance in confidential form. The light remains. It does not go away. It is faithful. Even when everything else changes.
Mike's sound carries this intimate stay-statement. Whoever hears the track in a phase where everything wavers is reassured: the light stays. Mike's album bracket here is the constancy in the midst of changeability.
