Prayer for Purity (1 Cor 6:19-20)

Original Prayer

Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own,

for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.

Realization in the New Covenant

Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Cor 6:19).

  • ›You belong to Him not as a slave but as a son, dearly bought.
  • ›Purity does not come from willpower or shame but from the awareness of who lives in you. You receive strength, you do not produce it.

Prayer in the New Covenant

Father, thank You that my body is Your temple. In Christ I receive the strength to live pure and free. I say Yes to Your love and No to what makes me smaller than I am. Amen.
