Titus 3:5
Saved by Mercy
Verse
He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy.
Thought
Not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy he saved us. Paul tells Titus plainly: Your salvation is not based on your performance. Zero. It is based on his mercy.
You are not saved because you were good enough. You are saved because God is merciful. This frees you from having to secure your standing through deeds.
Today you can lay down that pressure and rest in mercy.
Truth & Application
Truth: Your salvation is based on Gods mercy, not on your works. You cannot earn your standing and you do not need to. That is your foundation.
Today practically: If you think today I have not done enough, remember: It was never up to me. It was always his mercy.
Question for you: Where are you still counting on works instead of mercy?
Prayer
Father, thank you for your mercy. Thank you that my salvation is not based on my works. Today I release the pressure to do enough. I rest in your mercy. Holy Spirit, remind me when performance pressure comes. Amen.
