Galatians 2:16
Clarity in Thinking
Verse
Yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ.
Thought
A person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ. Paul formulates the central insight of the New Covenant: faith, not law. Trust, not performance.
Clarity means: you do not have to guess how to become righteous. The answer is clear: through faith. Not through religious practice, not through moral effort. Through trust in what Jesus has done.
Today: think clearly. Righteousness comes through faith. Everything else is fog.
Truth & Application
Truth: Works of the law justify no one. Only faith in Jesus Christ brings righteousness. This is not option A alongside option B. It is the only way.
Practical today: Check where you unconsciously rely on your own works today instead of on faith. Then correct inwardly and trust in Christ.
Question for you: Where are you relying on works of the law today when only faith counts?
Prayer
Father, thank you that righteousness comes through faith, not through works. Today I think clearly about this. I release legalistic thinking and place my trust in Christ. Holy Spirit, keep my thinking today in the clarity of faith. Amen.
