1 John 4:18

There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear. John shows the antidote to fear here: not more discipline, not more control, but love. Gods love.

In the New Covenant fear is no longer the normal state. The love God gave you is stronger than any fear. It drives fear out, not through fighting but through presence. Where love is, fear retreats.

Today you can rest in this love and let fear lose its grip.

Truth: Gods perfect love drives out fear. You do not have to fight against fear, love does it. Where you know yourself loved by God, fear loses its grip.

Today practically: If fear comes today, do not fight it, receive love instead. Say: I am loved. Fear has no place.
