Love initiated by God

Verse

In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us.

Thought

Not that we loved God, but that he loved us. He first. God's love does not wait for your love in return.

Your worth comes from his love, not yours.

Truth: God's love is initiative. Your worth comes from his love.

Today practically: When feeling unworthy, he loved first.

Question for you: Where are you trying to earn God's love?

Father, thank you for loving first. Today I rest in that. Amen.
