Grace not works
Verse
But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works; otherwise grace would no longer be grace.

If by grace, then no longer works. Otherwise grace would not be grace. Sharp: Grace and works are mutually exclusive.
Your standing holds even when you fail. Righteousness is a gift.
Truth & Application
Truth: Grace and works do not mix. Righteousness is a gift.
Today practically: When self-evaluating, say: Righteous by grace.
Question for you: Where are you trying to earn grace?

Father, thank you that it is grace. Today I receive instead of earning. Amen.
