1 Peter 5:7
Sonship and Closeness
Verse
Cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.
Thought
Cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. Peter calls not for a pious exercise but describes a relational reality. You may hand off worries because someone is there who carries them.
Sonship means: you have a Father who cares. Not abstractly but really. He cares for you, not once you are perfect but now.
Today: cast your anxiety on him. Not as technique but as the trust act of a child.
Truth & Application
Truth: You may cast all anxiety on God because he cares for you. This is not weakness but sonship. A child who trusts their father hands off burdens.
Practical today: Name a specific worry. Consciously hand it to God. Say: I cast this on you because you care for me. Then let go.
Question for you: Which worry are you still carrying that could long be with your Father?
Prayer
Father, I cast my worries on you today. Not because I give up but because you care. You are my Father and I trust you. I release worry, control, and inner burden. Holy Spirit, remind me today: my Father cares. Amen.
