Romans 5:1

Freedom from Accusation

Verse

Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Thought

Since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God. Paul states a fact here, not a wish. Peace with God is not a hope but a reality since the cross.

Accusation tries to disturb this peace. It says: you are not good enough for peace with God. But Paul says: peace stands because righteousness stands. And righteousness stands through faith, not through works.

When inner voices say today: you have not earned peace, answer: Peace stands. Not because I am perfect but because Christ fulfilled everything.

Truth & Application

Truth: Peace with God stands because righteousness through faith stands. Accusation cannot revoke this peace. Your standing before God is settled, once for all.

Practical today: When accusation grows loud today, say calmly: My peace with God stands. It is sealed through Christ. Then go through your day in this peace.

Question for you: Which accusation is trying to disturb your peace with God today?

Prayer

Father, thank you that peace between you and me stands. Through faith I am righteous, through Christ I am accepted. Today I live in this peace. I release accusation and inner unrest. Holy Spirit, strengthen me today in the peace of God. Amen.
