Grace is Grace

But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works; otherwise grace would no longer be grace.
Thought
If it is by grace, then it is no longer by works. Otherwise grace would no longer be grace. Paul is razor-sharp: You cannot mix grace with works. Either given or earned. Both at once is impossible.
Truth & Application
Truth: Grace and works mutually exclude each other. The moment you try to earn grace, it is no longer grace. Let grace simply be grace.
Today practically: Where are you trying to earn grace? Stop. Grace is grace.
Question for you: Do you accept grace as a gift or try to earn it?
Prayer
Father, thank you that grace is grace. Undeserved, impossible to buy, simply given. Today I accept it without trying to earn it. Holy Spirit, protect me from turning grace into performance. Amen.
