Romans 10:4
The End of the Law
Verse
For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
Thought
Christ is the end of the Law. Not its repair, not its reform, its end. The Law served its purpose: showing that no one can become righteous by their own effort. Then Christ came and became righteousness for everyone who believes.
Whoever believes in Christ is righteous. Not whoever keeps the Law, whoever believes. That is the radical message of the New Covenant.
Truth & Application
Truth: The Law has served its purpose. Christ fulfilled and ended it. Now faith counts, not rule-keeping. Everyone who believes stands righteous before God.
Today practically: Where are you still trying to score points with God through keeping rules? Recognize it and let it go. Christ is enough.
Question for you: Are you building on rule-keeping or on Christ?
Prayer
Father, thank you that Christ is the end of the Law. Thank you that faith counts, not rule-keeping. Today I live in this freedom. Holy Spirit, protect me from legalism. Amen.
