The album closes with the homeward movement, through the winter light. Mike's last track of the sound journey is not arrival, but movement toward homecoming.
Isaiah 35:10: "And the ransomed of YHWH shall return and come to Zion with singing; everlasting joy shall be upon their heads." In the Hebrew original: uf'duyei YHWH y'shuvun u-va'u Tzion b'rinah, "the ransomed of YHWH shall return and come to Zion with rejoicing".
Homecoming through the winter light: that is image for the son's way through life toward the eternal home. It is a winter way (with all phases: stillness, clarity, hardness, beauty), but it is homeward.
Mike's instrumental closing track of the Winterdreams journey carries this homecoming movement as final sound statement. You are on the way. Home. Through the winter light. The Father waits. Mike's sound carries this English eternal homecoming reality as album-bracket closing.
