Mike's self-commitment in track form. "Zero Percent Fake". Not 5%, not 1%. Zero. Total.
2 Corinthians 4:2: "Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God."
In the Greek original it is dolountes (δολοῦντες), "to deal falsely, to distort". Paul renounces distortion. Mike does too.
The word "fake" carries a particular meaning. It comes from hip-hop tradition and refers to someone who pretends to be what he is not. "Fake" is the worst accusation in many subcultures.
Mike imports this cultural resonance into the spiritual context. Zero percent fake, no pretending, no posing, no show. Totally real. That is not spiritual virtue, it is the minimum requirement of being a son. Mike's sound carries this uncompromising authenticity.
