Snowbells (snowdrops) in winter are an image of hope. They are the first blossoms, often still in the snow. They are the announcement of spring in the middle of winter.
Song of Songs 2:11-12: "For behold, the winter is past; the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth." Snowbells are the first of these flowers.
Mike's track title "A Whisper of Snowbells" connects two gentle images: whisper and snowbells. Both are small, easily overlooked phenomena. But they carry the promise of the great.
Mike's instrumental track is filigree, almost soundless. Whoever listens hears the whisper. It is not loud. It must be sought. But it is there. Mike's sound carries this English tender hope reality.
