Realization in the New Covenant
James 1:5 is a clear New Covenant statement: God gives wisdom generously and without reproach. Here's the difference:
- ›No begging, God WANTS to give you (Jas 1:5)
- ›No reproach, God doesn't hold it against you that you need to ask
- ›The key is faith, not worthiness. You receive because you are a child, not because you deserve it.
- ›The Holy Spirit in you IS wisdom (1Cor 2:10-16). He teaches you from within.
Prayer in the New Covenant
Father, thank you: You give wisdom generously and without reproach. I receive wisdom now, for this situation, for this decision. Indecision gives way. I act in faith. Amen.
