My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."

Thoughts within the New Covenant

My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. God says this to Paul when he prays three times for a suffering to end. The answer is not healing but: My grace is enough.

This is not cheap comfort. It is a deep truth: God's power does not need your strength as a foundation. It shows itself precisely where you are at your end. Weakness in the New Covenant is not a disqualifier, it is the place where grace becomes visible.

Peace does not come when everything is perfect. Peace comes when you know: Grace is enough. No matter how weak you feel.

Truth & Application

Truth: God's power does not need your strength. It works precisely in your weakness. This is not a consolation prize but God's principle in the New Covenant: Grace suffices.

Today practically: Where do you feel weak today? Instead of fighting it, say: Grace may work here. And take the next step in peace.

Question for you: Are you trying to be strong where grace would be enough?

Prayer

Father, thank you that your grace is sufficient. Thank you that I do not need to be strong for you to work. Today I bring you my weakness. I release the pressure of doing everything in my own strength. Holy Spirit, show me your power in my weakness today. Amen.
