He chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him in love. God's decision for you did not come after your birth. It came before creation.
This means: your belonging is not a reaction to your behavior. It is a decree from eternity. Holiness here is not your task but your status. You are set apart as holy, in love.
Sonship does not begin with your decision for God. It begins with his decision for you, before all time.
Truth & Application
Truth: God chose you before the foundation of the world. Your place as a son or daughter is not coincidence and not merit. You are wanted, from eternity.
Practical today: When you feel unworthy today, speak out: God chose me before the world existed. My place is not accidental.
Question for you: What would change if you truly believed today that you have been wanted from eternity?
Prayer
Father, thank you for choosing me before the foundation of the world. I am not an accident. My sonship is your plan from eternity. Today I receive this closeness as reality. I release doubts about my belonging. Holy Spirit, make me aware today of how wanted I am. Amen.
