So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.

Rest arises when you know: renewal happens daily. From within. Even when things decay outside.
Today: your inner self is being renewed. Daily. By God.

Truth: Even if your outer self is wasting away, your inner self is renewed day by day. This is God's work in you. Renewal is a daily process that does not stop.
Practical today: When something decays outwardly, remember: inwardly I am being renewed. Daily. By God. That is my source of rest.
Question for you: Where do you fixate on outer decay and overlook inner renewal?
Prayer
Father, thank you for the daily renewal of my inner self. Even if outward things pass away, I am renewed within. Today I trust this process. I release fear of decay. Holy Spirit, renew me from within today. Amen.
