Romans 8:31
Peace as a Standing
Verse
If God is for us, who can be against us?
Thought
If God is for us, who can be against us? Paul asks a rhetorical question with a clear answer: no one. If God stands on your side, there is no successful opponent.
Peace arises not because there are no opponents but because your ally is unbeatable. God is not neutral. He is for you. Actively, consciously, permanently.
Today: no matter who or what stands against you, God stands for you. That is your peace.
Truth & Application
Truth: God is for you. This is not a pious wish but reality in the New Covenant. No opponent can prevail when God is on your side. Your peace is based on his support.
Practical today: When resistance comes, say inwardly: God is for me. Who can be against me? Then act from this peace.
Question for you: Which opponent are you afraid of today even though God stands on your side?
Prayer
Father, thank you for being for me. Not neutral, not uninvolved. For me. Today I walk through my day with this knowledge. I release fear of opponents and resistance. Holy Spirit, remind me: God is for me. Amen.
