Light in the Heart
Verse
For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," has shone in our hearts.
Thought
God has shone light into your heart. Just as he called light from darkness at the beginning, he has placed light in your innermost being. You carry his light, through Christ.
Truth & Application
Truth: The light in you came through God's creative word. You are illuminated from within. You carry God's light.
Today practically: Let your inner light shine today. It comes from God and is visible to others.
Question for you: Are you letting God's light in you shine or hiding it?
Prayer
Father, thank you for the light in my heart. Just as at creation, you spoke: Light! Today I let it shine. Amen.
