Righteousness as a Gift

I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life.

Thought: John does not write: "So that you hope to get it." Not: "So that you struggle to earn it." But: "So that you KNOW that you HAVE it." Eternal life is not a goal at the end of a long journey. Original: צְדָקָה
